Quarantine Favs x hh Part 2: Movies

Moving on to movies! I’m not a huge movie girl, but these are a few that I find worth watching…

  • Age of Summer. I’m 100% biased bc I was in this movie lol. But seriously such a good, coming-of-age film that takes place in my hometown. It’s super nostalgic for me and I just love watching it over and over again!!! (If you so choose to watch it, pls let me know & I’ll be sure to love you forever).

  • Call Me By Your Name. I know people think this movie gives off weird vibes (which it most definitely does), but I still think it’s worth a watch. Like c’mon, it takes place in the most beautiful parts of rural Italy. Obvi I’m kind of biased towards any italian movies bc I love the scenery, but seriously this will make you want to move to Bergamo--in the far future of course, since rn Lombardy isn’t doin’ so hot.

  • Freaky Friday. A classic masterpiece with Lindsay Lohan.

  • Heartbreakers. This was a TMT movie of the day, so I decided to give it a go. Kind of weird plot, but loved the characters and the outfits.

  • Hot Rod. Another straight up classic. Andy Samberg is a gawd. I really enjoyed the scene of him tumbling down the cliff. I know that sounds bad, but like watch it and then you’ll understand.

  • Hustlers. I fell in love with this movie last September when it came out. Usher’s Love In This Club resurfaced in my brain and has been my go-to party song since. Also, JLo is straight fire.

  • JoJo Rabbit. Just watched this one the other night with my parents and ‘twas a mix of emotions. JoJo and his little outfits were the most adorable thing I’ve prob ever seen! Also, since coming back from Rome and learning about WWII in my last lecture there, it was cool to see this movie from another perspective.

  • Love Actually. Is there ever a bad time to watch a Christmas movie? Personally, I don’t think so. (But actually if you need another list solely comprising Christmas movies, I can hook it up. I’ve seen them ALL.)

  • Monster in Law. Tbh I’ve seen this movie before, but Barb from The Bachelor reminded me of MIL, so I rewatched it. Love JLo bc she is #goals always.

  • Searching. Tbh do not remember which streaming platform I watched this on, but if you’re in the mood for a super suspenseful film, WATCH. I had literally no idea how tf the movie would ever end. It was insanity.

  • Someone Great. I personally love Gina Rodriguez (bc Jane the Virgin), so this was easy for me to enjoy! Plus it’s cute and the girl group is goals.

  • The Parent Trap. Does not need an explanation. #1 movie of all-time IMO.

  • When Harry Met Sally. A TRUE classic. Sophie B introduced me to this one, and ugh it’s simply an amazing love story. Meg Ryan is so beautiful and her outfits are on POINT.

  • Wine Country. Amazing cast. Need I say more? I do think it was a bit over-hyped, but def still recommend.

(Also PLS send recs if you think mine are beat lol)
