As we enter the official week 2 of quarantine (for me it’s week 4 bc I’m ~especiale~ hehe), I image you’re getting pretty dang bored. I am, at least.
Thank goodness school was back on track-ish this week because finally I had responsibilities to fulfill! (Aka: I had to log into Zoom, sit through a couple classes, and do a minimal amount of writing assignments) But hey, any routine-structure is good! Outside of the one-two hours spent doing school each day, I’ve started to figure out what my quarantine essentials really are. Here’s a list of things I’m currently entertaining myself with, so feel free to be a copy-cat!
Mini weights/yoga mat. Having a set of weights (3-5lbs each) and/or a yoga mat on-hand is super helpful for doing indoor workouts. All you need for your daily virtual CorePower or Katie Austin workout are these two things! You can def get them on Amazon prime too.
Fun nail polish. Who said you can’t paint your nails when no one can see them?? Idk! I’ve been practicing doing my nails so much during this quarantine, and tbh it makes my hands look happy! Whip out your nail polish collection (bc I know we all have that ONE bin) and get creative.
Books! Lots and lots of books! Go back to my post on book recs and order yourself one on Amazon or download it to your kindle/iPad. There is straight up nothing better than getting sucked into a good book.
Drawing pad/coloring book & colorful pens. Literally have no idea how this amazing, anxiety-relieving coloring book made its way into my household, but I am so grateful. I’ve been on a coloring BENDER these past few days and I’m absolutely loving it. (I even colored during my Zoom lecture to make it look like I was taking notes.) I think I might open a gallery with all of my creations after this is over. Don’t worry, you’ll be invited AND there will be wine.
Face masks. You might be stressing about the world ending; totally normal my friend. To ease this stress I recommend doing some soothing face masks and turning your home into a mini-spa. Some of my favorite masks are linked here, here, and here. Treat. Yo. Self.
