*aka a praise-post for Trader Joe’s bc it is truly iconic*
Though coronavirus is not over yet, many people are beginning to move back out of their parents/family homes and into their respective apartments (adult life vibes). I’m about to move into my “senior house” with my best friends, and in preparation, I’ve begun to realize that I won’t be able to experience my mother’s AMAZING cooking everyday. I *actually* have to *cook* for myself (gasp). THUS, I’m getting excited about Trader Joe’s again because my school has one right around the corner!!
Here are the excellent products my friends and I will be stocking our new kitchen with from TJ’s:
Cauliflower Gnocchi
One word: iconic. Though it does not come ~close~ to the gnocchi I just ate in Rome, it’s definitely a staple in the fridge. It’s beyond easy to heat up and serve with some olive oil, salt and pepper OR tomato sauce. Pro tip: heat in a pan with as little water as possible. You’ll be bummed if your gnocchi is water-ed down. Trust.
Trek Mix
I’m a HUGE fan of this trail mix because it’s the perfect combination of cashews, almonds, and dark chocolate cubes. Straight yumminess.
Just Mango Slices
Another fab snack from TJ’s! I was legit never a fan of dried mango until I tried THIS masterpiece. Iconic. You need it.
Everything But the Bagel Seasoning
Just wow. This seasoning goes well on pretty much anything. It’s especially tasty on avocado toast and omelettes!
Mediterranean Style Salad Kit
Don’t have enough time to prepare a full-on cooked dinner? Do not fret! Pick up any of the salad kits from TJ’s and boom, dinner. Sophomore year my roommates and I would basically live on this Mediterranean salad twice a week because we had so little time to cook. It’s just such a perfect combination of flavors AND it serves 3-4 peeps.
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
For all the people with late-night sweet tooths, this product is for U. Again, my friends and I all share a post-dinner chocolate craving, and these cups are iconic. I could eat a thousand.
Eggplant Hummus
*chef’s kiss* This hummus is wonderful for homework snack-time! It goes well with carrots, bell peppers, sugar snap peas, and pita chips. A versatile queen.
